With the race kicking off in June, the 13th annual Pagosa Springs Auto Show is just around the corner. Stunning classic cars and motorcycles will be taking to Louis Street starting Friday night, June 10 at 5 p.m. for a street party. The street will be filled with amazing cars, delicious food vendors, beer, wine and craft cocktails, and live music by Rob Lowe’s band will fill the air. Viewers can get a first glimpse of the vehicles as the proud owners show off in 16 different categories. Vehicles can start lining up at 3pm; However, the festivities won’t start until 5pm. Get off work and head downtown for an evening full of fun and plenty of eye candy. Cars will be on display until 8pm.

Spectators and motorists should then head to Athletic Field in Town Park to watch a free movie about the car hosted by the Pagosa Springs Police Department. Enjoy the free movie with free popcorn, death dog and lemonade. The movie will start around 9pm when it gets dark, and you won’t want to miss this classic.

On Saturday, June 11, the show and shine begins at 9 a.m. More cars and motorbikes will arrive and fill up Boulevard Louis-St. Bruce Wayne Classic Rock & Country will perform live music today. Spectators and participants will be able to vote for their favorite car for the People’s Choice Award from your phone – with ease! There will also be prizes for all the different car classes. The awards ceremony will take place starting at 2pm throughout the day, and there will also be a kids’ corner – a themed car, of course. New this year will also be a fashion competition where car participants can dress up to match the age of their car. It’s a fun and colorful activity inspired by the era. There will be merchandise at the auto show and vendors in attendance.

There are some important notifications about the auto gallery. Lewis Street will be closed to traffic beginning Friday morning, June 10 at 10 a.m. and will remain closed until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Please avoid this area. You can access eastbound Lewis Street from 4th Street as well, Lewis Street Alley will remain open as well. Dogs are allowed at the motor show as long as they are on leash, which is also a requirement of animal control in the city. Other animals, skateboards, skateboards, bicycles, or any other types of equipment are not permitted. We would like to avoid any potential accidents with these collectible cars and motorcycles. Entrance to the show will be for participants from 2nd St. Look for flags that mark the path.

Whether you are a participant in the car or a spectator, come and enjoy this thirteenth annual extravaganza of the car. This will also be the weekend of the Folk n’ Bluegrass Festival at Reservoir Hill, and there is plenty of time to enjoy both events.
